Restaurant and bar owners say their industry could be wiped out by social distancing rules that will keep dining rooms at just a fraction of their capacity.

Restaurants and bars need volume and traffic to make them work.

In the toughest markets that means multiple waves of guests, and tables that are pushed together as closely as possible.

They can’t make a profit with social distancing rules in place.
